About Jana
I offer compassionate integrative psychotherapy that meets you where you are.
Every session centers on practical tools, genuine connection and progress you can feel.
I'm a PACFA-registered psychotherapist offering an integrative, trauma-informed approach to healing. I work with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, burnout, addiction, trauma, preparing for and integrating psychedelic experiences and the complexities of your precious Self - supporting you to build a sense of safety, regulation and inner coherence. I listen first and then build a plan we can tackle together.
My therapeutic foundation is rooted in somatic and parts-based work, drawing on my training through the Institute of Sensorimotor Art Therapy and PIA Australia for psychedelic preparation and integration. I believe that healing happens not just through insight, but through the body: through nervous system regulation, embodied presence and reconnection with your own inner wisdom.
I offer specialised modalities including Guided Drawing (sensorimotor art psychotherapy), sound baths, guided meditations and both 1:1 and group psychotherapy. I particularly enjoy the delicate process of organisation of mind and have a passion for individuals seeking a deeper level of understanding themselves.
Originally I am from Germany. After a few years here in Australia, I encountered plant medicines in 2018, learned to trust my calling and became an integrative psychotherapist - believing that our adaptive patterns, however painful, are ingenious survival strategies that helped us get through rough patches once upon a time and that they can be rewoven. My approach is a collaborative being-with (not a doing-to), paced to your needs and grounded in the belief that you are the expert of your own experience.
I have trained with Soma Mystica since 2021. My work combines somatics, energetics, psychotherapy, nature rewilding and ecological framework practices to support healing unconscious trauma. Healing happens through the body, by feeling what is suppressed in the unconscious nervous system, where unprocessed trauma is physically stored. I apply this approach throughout sessions and also in how I plan and prepare before meeting a new inquirer for the first time.
After graduating from Ikon Institute with a Bachelor of Counselling & Integrative Psychotherapy in 2023, I began my journey in private practice in collaboration with Cross Addictions and associates, working with a group of men navigating pornography, compulsive masturbation and sex addiction for the duration of more than a year - deeply meaningful work that taught me the power of unprocessed trauma, how healing can be facilitated and shame-informed, integrative approaches. I then worked at two private rehabilitation centres in Melbourne, expanding my experience and deepening my clinical skills across diverse presentations. In 2025, I decided to make my dream of moving to the Northern Rivers area true, and in 2026 I made the move. Just before relocating, I was blessed with the wonderful opportunity to receive a position as primary therapist at Byron Private Holistic Treatment Centre. I have recently completed training with PIA Australia in Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy, which has inspired me to add preparation and integration of psychedelic experiences to my cauldron of therapeutic offerings.
Yet through this journey, I've felt a growing call to weave my own magic - to offer my unique yet over 8 years cultivated style of integrative psychotherapy in a way that honours both my training and my authentic self. This has led me to establish my private practice, where I can bring the fullness of who I am and what I've learned to the inquirers and communities I serve.
Blessed to finally say that I am based in the Northern Rivers NSW, where I live on land and tend to it - values that deeply inform my work and life philosophy.
